Teagle Tomahawk - Drum Tomahawk

Teagle manufacture a specialist range of drum type Feeder Bedders which are easy to use, simple and reliable. Various rotor systems offer solutions from pre-processing straw for feed to delivering baled silage to a barrier. The Hammer Mill system can chop straw or miscanthus as short as 15mm, whereas models fitted with the silage rotor can be used as a combined Bedder/Feeders. TOMAHAWK 404-505-505XL STRAW SHREDDERS

Comfortable livestock are more productive.

For straightforward bedding the 404/505/505XL range offers fast effective shredding of straw to a consistently short length.

Operation

Blow straw up to 30', discharge to one or both sides of the tractor. Alternative delivery chutes are available to suit your requirements.

The Tomahawk 404 and 505 models use rotating and static blades to chop dry material to around 50mm. The chop length can easily be adjusted by moving the rotor, thereby changing the clearance between the blades. An optional short chop kit can be fitted to reduce the chop length further.

Easy control of output by adjusting the speed of drum rotation.

Configurations

Tomahawk 404 - Suitable for 1.2m (4') diameter bales.
Tomahawk 505 - Suitable for 1.5m (5') diameter bales.
Tomahawk 505XL - Suitable for 1.5m (5') diameter bales and full size Hesston bales.
Various drum extensions are available for ease of operation or to accommodate larger rectangular bales. 

The 404/505/505XL range is suitable for dry material only, and will not cut silage or straw that has become damp as it will block the cutting rotor and chutes.

TOMAHAWK 404M-505M-505XLM STRAW MILL

For straightforward processing the 404M/505M/505XLM range offers fast effective milling of straw and miscanthus to a very consistent and fine length.

Operation

Blow straw up to 30', discharge to one or both sides of the tractor. Alternative delivery chutes are available to suit your requirements.

The Tomahawk 404M, 505M and 505XLM use Blades or Hammers to chop dry material until small enough to pass through the holes in a screen. A range of screens are available with holes from 15mm to 36mm to obtain material of a consistent chop length.

TOMAHAWK 4040-5050-5050XL FEEDER / BEDDER

Provide an even and absorbent bed of straw.

Increase consumption and reduce waste of baled silage.

Baled silage that is lightly shredded with a Tomahawk is more palatable and easily consumed.

Operation

Blow straw up to 35', discharge to one or both sides of the tractor. Alternative delivery chutes are available to suit your requirements.

Discharge silage to the right hand side only into a ring feeder or along a feed barrier.

The Tomahawk 4040, 5050 and 5050XLM models use Blades to chop dry or wet material. With very wet material the chop length may be as low as 4 cm, and dry material will be around 15cm. long.
